e have a dream!
It is to build a "Home For The Aged", in Kolkata, where shelter and a home environment can be provided for our people.
We want to be able to give them back pride in themselves and to be secure in the knowledge that someone 'out there' cares for them.
We want to give them somewhere they can put their heads down at night without being concerned about 'being moved on' by the authorities, or worrying about threatening situations totally beyond their control.
We want them to have somewhere where a meal will be provided for them daily.
Our hope is to make use of the untapped talents of the many skillful people who may, with the right amount of encouragement, put these talents to use.
We want to go forward with the work we are presently doing by increasing the number of monthly pensions, funding Doctor's visits for those in need of Medical Care, purchasing the necessary medication for them, and funding more cataract operations.
We want to continue to educate more children, which hopefully will lead on to University education.
We know when something is given to these people they will also give something back to their Community. That is where their self-worth comes in.
